NUMEROLOGY ANALYSIS: DECISION 2008

 

This page provides a look at potential candidates for the office of President of the United States of America - the 2008 election. The look I am taking is based on numerology, with a few of my own biases, favoring moderate leadership, perhaps obvious. I will be noting the candidates' Life Path numbers, based on the date of birth, and their Destiny numbers, based on their full birth names. The plan is to gain some insight about the candidates, and to surmise what kind of President they might make. Check here to see the page covering all of the past Presidents, their Life Path number, and how successful they were based on historians' rankings.

 

The listing here will be alphabetical order under their respective Life Path number groupings, regardless of party affiliation. Party affiliate will be noted as (D) Democrat, (R) Republican, (I) Independent and others. A thumbnail sketch of the nine numbers and what traits they produce is provided atop each group. The Life Path number is the most important. It reflects the traits and tendencies they were born with. The Destiny number denotes how they should have developed, and the direction they are heading in life. Remember, these are all some of the best people in our nation's political ranks. They should demonstrate high examples of their Life Path, and, the number of their Destiny, as well.

The Life Path 1
Natural Skill Set: An original thinker, natural leader, forms strong opinions, forcefulness in word and deed, inventiveness, courageous, innate executive ability. With excessive 1 energy or negative application of 1 energy: Overly assertive or aggressive, dominating, impulsiveness, egotistical, uncooperative. Historians have ranked George Washington (3) highest among the three Life Path 1 Presidents.

 

Ron Paul (R), Congressman from Texas
b. 8-20-1935 Life Path 19/1
Birth name: Ronald Ernest Paul, Destiny 15/6

 

Ron Paul is a conservative's conservative.  So much so he he frequently parted company with fellow Republicans on issues like privacy rights, the war in Iraq and other matters he (and other thinking people) considers unconstitutional.  Does he have a chance?  No, but he is an exemplary example of a life path 1 candidate who tells it like it is.  If you harbor Libertarian views, this is your guy.

The Life Path 2
Natural Skill Set: A diplomat, an arbitrator, master of tact and persuasion, sincerity, builder of consensus, spiritually influenced, extroverted, a gather of facts. With excessive 2 energy or negative application of 2 energy: Caught up in too much detail, timidity, failure to take action, slyness, lack of courage. Historians have ranked Ronald Reagan (11) highest among the seven Life Path 2 Presidents.

Joe Biden is certainly one of the most qualified men for the Presidency without all of the polarizing baggage of others near the top of the Democrat candidate list. His knowledge on foreign relations, terrorism, drug policy, and crime prevention is unique. With his Life Path 2 diplomacy, and powerful Destiny 8, he would be one who should restore America's image and respect around the world in short order. Nomination is a tough road for a Senator, but Joe Biden may be up for the task.

 

Al Gore (D), former Vice-President

b. 3-31-1948 Life Path 20/2

Birth name: Albert Arnold Gore Jr, Destiny 14/5

 

Al Gore did a lousy job of campaigning for the Presidency in 2000, and still won the popular vote. He may have learned a few things since then, and maybe, just maybe, he won't make the same mistakes - if he decides to run again. Even now in 2006, he is sporting his new-found celebrity and relaxed manner which have made a whole lot more appealing than the first time around. Older and wiser, and a bit more outspoken, he may convince the primary voters to give him another chance. As a Life Path 2, he would be a great consensus builder and that would be refreshing, and there is little doubt about his sincerity. With Destiny 5, a Gore Presidency should produce some needed progressive changes.  I don't think Gore was ready to be president in 2000, but he's looking better all the time.

 

John McCain (R), Senator from Arizona

Birth name: John Sidney McCain III, Destiny 9

 

John McCain, a war hero of the first order, should be an odds on favorite to win the Republican nomination; but is he? His popularity is broad based for now. His only hurdle, and it is a big one, will be his own party, and he seems to be getting along just fine with the extreme right. McCain is coming around to embrace the ideals of the conservative movement, and prove to doubters that he has the true conservative outlook. At this time he seems to be doing a balancing act between the moderate and the conservative ends of the party, and managing to convince them both.  His pro war stance is more and more a negative that could derail his run for the nomination and White House, but then most of competition in the party has the same conviction.

 

Barack Obama (D), Senator-elect from Illinois
b. 8-4-1961 Life Path 20/2
Birth name: Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., Destiny 19/1

 

It may be too soon for this rising star of the Democratic party, but you would never know it if you attended one of his rallies. The more we see of him, the more we like him, and early on he has already risen to the top of the Democrat list trailing only front runner, Hillary Clinton.  Obama is clearly the rising rock star of the Democratic party and his opportunity may come sooner than later.

The Life Path 3
Natural Skill Set: Gifted use of speech and written communication, inspired thinking, visionary plans, accurate insights, a positive and inspirational spirit. With excessive 3 energy or negative application of 3 energy: Extravagance, lack of direction, moodiness, overly critical, unforgiving. Historians have ranked Andrew Jackson (13) the higher of the two Life Path 3 Presidents.

 

Hillary Rodham Clinton (D), Senator from New York and former First Lady

b. 10-26-1947 Life Path 12/3

Birth name: Hilliary Diane Rodham, Destiny 6

 

Early on, it looks like Hillary Rodham Clinton is the name to beat for the Democratic nomination. But the last Life Path 3 President, Andrew Jackson, took office a long, long time ago (1829). Truth is, not too many 3s want the job; Hillary does though, and she can get it. The hope is that she could win the same states won by Gore in 2000 or Kerry in 2004, and the female vote captured for the first female candidate for President would have to challenge in more than a few of those red states. Hillary's humanitarian streak runs deep with her Destiny 6, but her political savvy has her steering a moderate path. This attracts much independent appeal, especially if the Republicans name another far right leaner. The only thing in her way right now would appear to be her own party's concern about what a polarizing effect she would have on the political process. Conservatives harbor bitter feelings that run deep against this candidate, and some in her own party feel much the same way. If Clinton is the candidate, most of the discourse will be about her husband's years in office, and not enough about what has been going on recently. Even some hardcore Dems have serious doubts about this lady and will fight hard to stop her.  But an inspirational 3 with a vision may be just what the country needs now.

The 4 Life Path

Natural Skill Set: Excellent management skills, common sense thinking, scientific approach, concentrated effort to achieve goals, determined, overcoming obstacles, careful planner, attention to detail, steadfast. With excessive 4 energy or negative application of 4 energy: Stubborn very fixed opinions, argumentative, slow to change when change is needed, caught up in detail, slow decision-making. Historians have ranked Grover Cleveland (17) highest among the three Life Path 4 Presidents.

The Life Path 5
Natural Skill Set: Progressive ideas, inventive, resourceful, fights for freedom, independent, quick thinker, inquisitiveness, excellent administrator, energetic. With excessive 5 energy or negative application of 5 energy: Overly critical, impatient temperament, a sharp tongue, hasty decisions, impulsiveness, restlessness, nervousness. Historians have ranked all of the Life Path 5 Presidents in the top seven; Lincoln (1), F. Roosevelt (2), T. Roosevelt (4), and Jefferson (7).

The Life Path 6
Natural Skill Set: An idealist, determined humanitarian spirit, service to fellow man, righteousness, conventional thinking, fixed opinions, steadfast in beliefs. With excessive 6 energy or negative application of 6 energy: Stubbornness, obstinacy, self-righteousness, dominating posture, easily victimized by adulation, slow decision-making. Historians have ranked Woodrow Wilson (6) highest among the six Life Path 6 Presidents.

 

Rudy Giuliani (R), former mayor of New York

b. 5-28-1944, Life Path 15/6

Birth Name: Rudolph William Louis Giuliani III, Destiny 16/7

 

This Life Path 6 middle of the road candidate has a lot of appeal and potential. He is popular with independent voters, and with at least part of the Republican party. He'll just have to wait and see how tolerant the party is toward someone who is pro-choice, pro-gun control and pro-affirmative action. The odds of nomination are not that good if socially conservative right wing of the Republican party remain in control. Rudy Giuliani would be clearly one of the easiest Republicans to elect in the wake of the current administration.  Early polling suggests that this may be the man to beat for Republican nomination.  The 6 Life Path has produced some extremely good Presidents, and a couple of the worst.  Surely Giuliani has the potential to stay with and probably lead the top group, at least early on and maybe all the way.  If the Republican want to continue the scare tactics of the past few years, this my be their man.

The Life Path 7
Natural Skill Set: Careful researcher, investigation, circumspection, foresight, analysis, scientific and inventive thinking, contemplation in solitude, decisive, penetrating wit and acumen. With excessive 7 energy or negative application of 7 energy: Overly reserved and secretive, shrewdness, bossy, sarcastic, cynical, over analyzing, argumentative, harsh temperament, conviction to a fault. Historians have ranked Harry S Truman (5) highest and John F. Kennedy (8) notable among the five Life Path 7 Presidents.

 

John Edwards (D), Former Senator from North Carolina

b. 6-10-1953 Life Path 7

Birth Name: Johnny Reid Edwards, Destiny 7

 

John Edward's theme of an economically divided America worked fairly well for him in 2004, but the repetitiveness of the message may be wearing a little thin, and if this canned stump is all he has to offer for 2008, it is doubtful he will get far. A Life Path 7, however, is rarely a slow learner, so maybe there will be something new in the coming months. Without some sort of a transformation, it is hard to envision Edwards overtaking Clinton for the top spot.  Yet few are working any harder in the early going.  As the decision date approaches, few are working harder.

Michael Dale Huckabee, Destiny 12/3

This Life Path 7 has a lot of appeal with the religious right owing to his evangelical roots and previous affiliations. This background may play well in party but will perhaps be a negative later on. Also, the close hold of his financial affairs, cronyism and acceptance of favors may derail this conservative candidate. As the decision time approaches, this preacher turned politician is looking better and better.

The Life Path 8
Natural Skill Set: Executive abilities, political skills, expert handling of power and authority, working for a cause, master of gaining recognition and respect, exercising sound judgment, organization, hard working, decisive and commanding. With excessive 8 energy or negative application of 8 energy: Lacks true humanitarian feelings, impatience with subordinates, overly ambitious, repressing others, over reaching, expressing anger, love of display. Historians have ranked Lyndon B. Johnson (10) highest among the eight Life Path 8 Presidents.

The Life Path 9
Natural Skill Set: Compassionate, idealistic, concern for mankind, highly spiritual, lives by philanthropic principles, inclination toward amnesty, dramatic thinking and execution of ideas. With excessive 9 energy or negative application of 9 energy: Moods and depression, impulsiveness, changeable behavior, scattered energies, too much desire for personal recognition. Historians have ranked Jimmy Carter (22) highest among the four Life Path 9 Presidents.

Mitt Romney (R), Governor of Massachusetts
b. 3-12-1947 Life Path 9
Birth name: Willard Mitt Romney, Destiny 24/6

 

A Republican candidate capable of getting elected governor of Massachusetts is probably way too moderate to win the nomination. As a Life Path 9, some spiritual idealism should be expected, and this may come from his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons).  But for many moderate Republican, some Democrats unhappy with probable options on the Democrat side, and for many Independents, this is a very attractive candidate.  This is probably the only candidate that might succeed in curtailing much of the partisanship that has marked recent years.  Yet his selection would be a popular one with the social conservatives, and many would find this just too much to endure.  If the extreme right can forgive him for flip-flopping on their social agenda, Romney may be the compromise between moderates and conservatives.  As a 9, you can bet he would lead in a idealistic mode based on the unique teachings of the Mormon church.
